Heading South for the Winter

Ember, Mom and Dad started heading South to the bay area to spend Thanksgiving week with family. On the way down stopped in Redding for the night so Ember could meet her Great Grandma Robbins. Was alot of sleeping in between the restlessness due to the boring car ride.

Ember playing with a glow stick after the sun set and it got dark. Mom had a good idea that she really enjoyed (since she couldn't see any of her other toys).

No, there are no aliens in the trunk. It is just Ember playing with a glowstick (80's movie reference ala. Repo Man)

Visit to the Orthopedics

Today we went to Embers second Orthopedics visit. We saw how her hand has grown over the past six months since the first visit. We went over some of the options for her hand that would give her some more movement. This of corse would make it easier for her to grab her mommys hair and the cat's tails.

Ember in the same seat her Mommy and Daddy sat in for her preperation for birth class 9 months before. Could not resist while Mommy was in a doctors appointment.

Ember Play in the Pool

Got alot of good pictures at the pool today so went a little craazzzzzzyy.

Ember and Daddy ready to hop into the pool.

Kicking off the wall

"Get me Outta here" pleaaaaase.

Surfs up, on all 4's on kick board.

Woohoo, jumping up in the pool.

More kicking. Second to splashing, of her favorite things to do in the pool.

Some fun bubbles from the instructor.

Now after the pool come the clean up. Had a fun bath & shower with mommy. No censorship going on here (conviently placed duckie).

Being eatten by Daddys shoe.

Standing up in crib after she pulled herself up. Daddy was on the way out the door for work but who could resist taking a picture.

Playing with stacking toys Aunt Jenna gave her.

Ember Halloween Costume Party/Playdate

On Sunday, Ember had a Halloween costume party/playdate.
There are also some more pictures of the play date on my friends Madeline & Klaire blogs.

Ember follows in the footsteps of her mother who also was a "fairy princess" many years ago, in a land far, far away.

No one said that little princesses need to be graceful.

Everyone hates it, but even babies have to network at parties.

Ember catches up with her old buddy, Madeline.

The moms interfere once more with another staged picture.

Six babies in a row? Who are they kidding? It won't last.

See.

And at the end of that, chaos ensued, as is proper.

Trip to the Falls

On Saturday we took a day trip to the Columbia river Gorge. We saw a bunch of the waterfalls there and did a little bit of hiking.

Ember and Daddy at the bottom of Latourell Falls. I like the camera flash hitting the mist off the fall.

The 3 of us at the bottom of Latourell Falls.

Ember and Mom playing with some leaves.

We had to take a break from the driving and let Ember play with the leaves.

Leaves good.

Trip to the Zoo

This weekend we went on a trip to the Oregon Zoo. It was a nice, sunny weekend and Ember enjoyed seeing lots of animals she had never seen before.

She definitely enjoys being on Daddy's shoulders. Luckily no hair on this head to grab onto.

Unfortunately, the only animals she could play with were a bit stony.

She got a kick out of the Elephants

And, though not pictured, she loved the cougars.

And then on Sunday was Ember's pool class. Again not the best pics but she had fun playing.

And, blinding her Mom with splashes is always a good time.

One of our evening walks. Summer is definitely gone and Fall is here.

Attack of the AuntT's

We were lucky enough to be visited by Ember's favorite fair-haired aunt.
Aunt Telina (or AuntT, as she's known in some circles) flew in for the weekend. And, showed off her jet-setting ways by trying to "fly" Ember's food into Ember's mouth. I think it will take a few more "test flights" before she has the "right stuff".

Here AuntT, Ember and Mom were caught totally unawares by the paparazzi (will they ever leave us alone!).

Over the weekend, Ember and her hangers-on (parents) had their first Baby & Me water class. Please excuse the camera phone...

But eventually, AuntT had to part ways with her dearest niece, never to be seen or heard from again....or was she?
